The mission of the Office of Financial Aid assists prospective and current students
by collecting and processing information, creating the best possible financial aid
package for each individual student in a timely manner.
Academic Scholarship Office
Administers university-wide merit-based scholarships and serves as a central resource
for prospective and current undergraduate students seeking scholarship funding. Continuing
student scholarship applications are accepted January 1- February 15.
Paying for College
Numerous funding options are available including institutional scholarships, private
and outside scholarships, state scholarships, federal grants and loans, work-study
programs, and payment plans.

Net Price Calculator
This calculator will provide an estimate of federal, state, and institutional aid
eligibility based on federal calculations. It was created to help families make arrangements

Food Pantry
The Jane B. Gearhart Full Circle Food Pantry can assist students with meal needs.
Food Bank
There is also the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank in the community.
Chancellor’s Student Success Scholarship
A last dollar scholarship intended to help students with a past due student account
preventing enrollment in an upcoming semester if all other financial resources have
been exhausted.
UACares Emergency Fund
The purpose of the UACares Student emergency fund is to assist U of A students with short-term emergencies resulting from extenuating circumstances.
International Education Catastrophic Fund
Need-based assistance to undergraduate and graduate international students with an unforseen financial emergency beyond their control that hinders their ability to continue enrollment at U of A.
Classes on financial education
- CashCourse (NEED LOGIN). No credit hours. Provided free to all students at the University of Arkansas, CashCourse is your real-life guide to taking charge of your money.
- FINN 10003. Your Money and Credit. 3 Hours. Introduction to personal finance. Topics include building wealth, do's and don'ts of credit, car and home ownership.
- FINN 30003. Personal Financial Management. 3 Hours. Topics covered include personal budgeting, financial planning managing credit, taxes, insurance, investments and retirement planning.
- ARSC 20003. Navigating Personal and Professional Growth. 3 Hours. Explores the purpose of a college education, the university general education objectives, and the many dimensions of wellness and career competencies.
