CORD Student Employee Spotlight 🌟 meet Amaria Davis, 360 Program Mentor & Student Success Guide! Favorite class you've ever taken & why? "Intro to Criminology and Criminal Justice. It was so interesting and fun, the lectures were always so eye opening and exciting. I never wanted to miss a class, taking that class freshman year was the reason I added a criminology major to my degree plan!" What is your best advice for students? "College is 100% what you make of it so embrace curiosity, pursue your passions, and never stop learning. It's important to be open-minded, to ask questions, and to seek guidance when needed. Remember that making mistakes is part of life, so don't be discouraged by setbacks. Instead, see them as opportunities for growth and always strive for improvement." What is your favorite spot on campus? "The CORD 100%. I love the CORD, I basically live here at this point. It's such a welcoming environment and there is always something fun going on!" How does your work support students academically? "I find fulfillment in helping others succeed, and working at the SSC provides an opportunity to do just that. Working in the 360 program as a Lead Peer Mentor and at the Front desk as a Guide, I am given the chance to make a positive impact on someone's life and make their college experience a little bit better, it's very fulfilling!" What do you like best about working for Student Success? "I love the environment! I feel like the people I work for and with truly want to see us succeed and are always willing to give us the resources we need to do so!" #UARK #SuccessHappensHere
