Appointment Policies & FAQs

Help Desk Tutoring

Help Desks are available for quick questions, no appointment necessary. Sessions run approximately 20 minutes, but can run longer if demand for the tutor is low.

Power Hours

Power Hours offer an opportunity for you to work on homework, study with classmates, and ask a tutor questions when you need help. These are drop-in study hours and you can stay for as little or as long as you like.

Located in the Learning Commons space on the second floor of the CORD, tutors are ready to help you navigate course content and prepare for exams!

About CLASS+ Tutoring

CLASS+ Tutors are students who have excelled in their disciplines and are here to help you excel in yours. Our tutors can help you reinforce what you already know and understand new material through working practice problems, reviewing study strategies, and using their course experience to explain content. There is no cost to attend a tutoring session!

CLASS+ Tutoring is certified as a Level II tutor training program through the College Reading & Learning Association's International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC).

All tutors complete CRLA Level I Certification training during their first semester of tutoring and have the option to obtain Level II Certification in a future semester. We work hard to ensure that all tutors have the tools and resources to assist you to the best of their ability.

In addition to CLASS+ Tutoring, students have access to the following resources:

ISYS 11203 Tutoring

(Business Application Knowledge - Computer Competency) is provided by departmental graduate students in JBHT 256 & 258. Check with your faculty member for the schedule.

Tutoring for ISYS 11203 is not provided at the CORD.

Mathematics Resource and Teaching Center (MRTC)

Tutoring for MATH & STAT courses is available at the MRTC in Champions Hall (CHPN) 326.
